Beautiful "Wasabi" Fabrics
These are the fabrics I'm using for the quilt. Plus I added a pale tone on tone violet, a swirly white with gray and a pale yellow Batik with pale violet and gray dots. Eleven fabrics in all. One of the hardest parts of designing a quilt whose pattern I plan to publish is choosing the fabrics. Do I choose colors/styles that I think my general public will go for (the visual on the front of the pattern is what sells it) or do I feed my soul and play with fabics/colors/styles that turn me on. Or do I get lucky, and find a way to do both. This is a very unusual palatte and I'm a little doubtful that most folks will like it, but it makes me smile - so I guess today, it's my turn.
In the instructions for the quilt I will give lots of information on different ways to pull together fabrics that will suit the quilt well. This is one of the things about my patterns that I think separates them from the fray.
